Incline Village Golf Courses
Incline Village is a quiet Lake Tahoe hideaway with two spectacular golf courses. The Mountain Course is a quick playing 18-hole course in a beautiful alpine setting. The Championship Course was completely rebuilt in 2003 and opened to the public in May 2005.
The Mountain Course
Robert Trent Jones Jr. used nature as his guide when he designed this 18-hole, par 58 course. The Mountain Course staff continues in that tradition and has been designated a 'Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary'. With greens and contours carved out of the mountain landscape and naturally winding streams, this course is a true joy to play. Besides a commitment to the environment, the Mountain Course is also committed to its customers. It has been voted "Best Golf" by Tahoe locals year after year and is ranked #1 in the nation for customer satisfaction by the National Golf Foundation.
The Championship Course
In 2003 the Championship Course received a complete facelift. Renowned golf course architect Kyle Phillips was in charge of this $4.8 million renovation. In keeping with the original Trent Jones, Sr. design, the greens bunkers, tees, fairways and roughs have been reshaped, resoiled and reseeded.
If you're familiar with the old course you'll notice better visibility from tees to greens, new cart paths and new natural landscaping. IF you've never played the course before you'll be amazed by the views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra.
Facilities
Both courses have practice and chipping greens full service pro shops, rental clubs, golf lessons and food and beverage services. The Championship Course also features a new state of the art driving range with 5 target greens and bunkers. The new Chateau at the Championship Course is also home to the popular lunch spot, The Grille, and offers beautiful banquet facilities, perfect for weddings and all kinds of events.

This course is the epitome of old school mountain golf, beautiful and massive ponderosa pines lining generous fairways and guarding intimate greens. There are not that many hazards to deal with however, getting around the trees will eventually lead you to try and bite off more than you can chew. Once you're in the trees you are dead if you try any more than a simple chip back on. The sights and smells of Tahoe are all around you, leaving you blissed out and ready to buy that weekender you've always dreamed of. Have'nt played it since the renovation but imagine they made a great course even better.
