Coyote Moon Golf Course

In a tranquil mountain setting at more than 6,300 feet above sea level, Coyote Moon sits ready to capture your attention and captivate your senses. A majestic mountain golf masterpiece designed by former PGA Tour player Brad Bell, the course is 250 secluded acres of rolling hills, towering Ponderosa pines and wildflowers without a single home or homesite to spoil the view. Eighteen spectacular holes cascade over a beautiful Sierra Nevada ridge line, meandering among daunting granite bluffs while winding around and across crystal clear Trout Creek. Coyote Moon combines a great design, meticulous maintenance standards and attentive guest services to create a premier High Sierra golf experience.

Facilities

Golf shop, restaurant and bar, chipping area, practice bunkers, warm-up stations and putting greens.

Signature Hole

The 13th hole is a spectacular 227-yard par 3 where the tee shot falls more than 200 feet down to an oblong green fronted by Trout Creek and rugged native terrain. The hole plays two-to-three clubs less than normal, but pay attention to the pin location and adjust club selection accordingly. Take a deep breath, clear your mind and concentrate on the shot on this breathtaking and dangerous par 3.

Coyote Moon golf course has to be one of the best, if not the best course's I've played. The staff was great, and the course was fantastic. Thanks Again Coyote Moon!

Great course with views to match. You can stretch this layout to as much as you can handle. I look forward to playing in a tournament here every year! This is a must play course if you are in the area.

I first played this gem in May of 2002. I scheduled 3 more rounds that year. Coyote Moon is the best manicured course in the Tahoe/Reno area that I have played. A spectacular layout with breathtaking holes such as #12 & 13. I refer this course above all others to my friends. The staff is always attentive and helpful. Every golfer should experience a special day at Coyote Moon. I have now, 10 times over.

Easily the Best public golf course within a 15 mile radius of the city! Worth playing several times. Great combination of uphill/downhill shots with generous fairways on a links style layout. Many holes incorporate dramatic views of the valley, surrounding hills and mountains. Club slection on approach shots is critical. Stay below the hole, if possible, on these fast, ungulating greens.

I have played courses in Mexico Hawaii and across America. This course is sweeeeet. The use of the terrain is unbelievable. Better than Poppy or Peeble.....play this one guys.....with a long straight drive it's a friendly course.....loved it and will play it again.

Coyote Moon is one of the most beautiful settings for golf I have experienced.I have played some beautiful courses from the east coast to the Hawaian Islands and this ranks at the top.The stunning beauty can be a distraction but well worth the cost in strokes. The only problem is that by early December the 1st tee is usually under 10-20 feet of snow.6300 feet altitude can do that. And Truckee,CA,right below the course, is a very cool little town to spend some time.

Coyote Moon is simply one of the BEST golf experiences you'll ever have. The course is always in spectacular shape with attentive staff. The foursome ahead of us was Clint Eastwood the day we played. If "Dirty Harry" plays Coyote Moon and can literally play anywhere in the world, that's a fairly descent testimonial to the calibur of this great course. I obviously love this golf course. See you again this year for our annual High Sierra GTYR Tourney!

Beautiful golf course. Only complaint is slow play. Never played in less than 5 hours.
