With five tee markers, the immaculate layout stretches from 5,161 yards to more than 7,200 yards, so all levels of play can be accommodated. The well-conditioned greens and friendly, professional staff are two of many reasons why Dayton Valley has hosted PGA Qualifying since 1995. 2004 marks the 10th anniversary of PGA Qualifying at Dayton, the longest consecutive stint for any course in the country. Dayton has also been ranked the number one golf course in rural Nevada by Nevada Magazine and is rated 4 stars “Places to Play” by Golf Digest. The total experience at Dayton Valley is unique — country club ambiance that’s affordable and enjoyable.

Given the fact that my backyard is situated on the 8th fairway, I find myself always discovering something different about this course. It's friendly to the amatuers, yet challenging for the advanced. The Arnold Palmer design is distictive in every feature. It trully is a beautiful course to play.

This beautiful course can get very tough when the wind whips up in the afternoon. Dayton Valley has the friendliest staff around and are making changes to bring the amenities up to par with the course. GPS is a nice addition.

Location/Driving Directions
From Reno, take U.S. Highway 395 south to Carson City. From Lake Tahoe, take Highway 50 east to Carson City. From Carson City, take Highway 50 east to Dayton. From Dayton, turn right on Dayton Valley Road and follow it two miles to Palmer Drive.
